Not Your Average Baby Shower

Several years ago we got to team up with the magically talented Jenn Sbranti of Hostess Blog; just absolutely am so inspired by everything she creates and she was kind enough to bring us in to do this event. I am FRIGHTENED to think how old Tisha’s baby is now since they grow so crazy fast!!

If you’ve been one of my loyal blog followers, you know that we publish these image roundups every week. We feature a particular event for a particular client so you can go deep on the particular theme. If you know what’s up, skip this part, newbies, please continue…

In case you missed it, here’s what we’re doing, mentioned in the first blog (and if you already know what’s going on, skip to the first photo!): Every afternoon we’re posting event photos & inspiration to my Instagram page to give you ideas for your own events, and of course, encourage you to hire yours truly, fabulous event planner in California for your next soiree! In terms of format, we’re trying to capitalize on the whole hashtag calendar world and take advantage of #WeddingWednesday (#WW) and #ThrowbackThursday (#TBT) by posting wedding photos and cool stuff we’ve done on Wednesdays and on Thursdays, harkening back to a past client’s event, be it a celebrity, or just one of us tastemakers.

Jenn is a super talented graphic artist, CLEARLY. I just love the turquoise, yellow, orange and black and white stripes of the designs she created and replicated throughout the event.

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Tuesday:

I love how we created signature drinks out of test tubes with little slices of delicious lemon gel candies to keep with the color scheme. This whole test tube thing is great because they are easy to serve, relatively inexpensive and still look cool!

We kept repeating the gel candy deal throughout using the frosted martini glasses and buckets to hold the rest of the drink adornments. LOVE. #ColorJunkie.

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Wednesday:

Happy #WeddingWednesday (#WW): The base of the cheese board was wrapped in black and white polka dots to stay with the color story and all of the cheese was identified with the name cards in the black and white stripped sitch.

Can we talk about how much I love sliders? STILL? These had a magical little gerkin on top and were cut down even further to be a little more “lady” like for the Mama to be and her guests.
