Rock your wedding photos like a supermodel! Wedding party pics you’ll want to frame!

If ever there’s an event that screams photo album, it’s your wedding day! I know, we all store photos on our phones. And envelopes of loose pictures from the drug store sound so ’90s. But hey, the ’90s are totally in right now! Besides, you won’t be snapping selfies or playing photographer that day. Can you imagine? “Honey, will you hold my bouquet while I line up my bridesmaids?!” You’re going to hire someone, or enlist a friend with a good camera and a good eye to capture your special moments and take the obligatory group photos. And when it’s all over, you’ll want an old-school printed album of your favorite shots that you can look at as the years go by. A little planning in advance can help you get wedding party pics that capture the love and personality of both you and all your favorite peeps.

To make sure that happens, have a chat with your photographer (in this case, it was the amazing Christine Chang!) about what kind of photos you want. Posed, spontaneous, artsy, informal, etc. A list of the must-have group shots is a good idea too. Sometimes those work best for getting in all the older relatives. Figure out — or better yet, have your photographer figure out — what backdrops will work well at your chosen venue. Maybe even take some pictures there in advance to see how they look. And then, when the day arrives… RELAX and enjoy it! It’s your photographer’s job to do the rest and give you some stellar wedding party pics!

You and your bridesmaids looking gorgeous… what could make for a better photo? In addition to some posed wedding party pics, ask your photographer to get some shots of you and your bffs in a spontaneous moment.
