Here’s The Clip Where I Cover Party Planning Ideas For A Spring Bash:
Here’s a summary of the tips from the clip. Take them and make them your own.
4 Budget-Friendly Party Planning Ideas:
1. Tablecloth
Go a little crazy with a hot pink high-pile fur tablecloth for your buffet! Doesn’t this just scream “spring”? It’s fun, different, and super simple! You can find the fur at your local fabric store and just have it cut to size!
2. Edible Centerpieces
Have you thought about using a live growing Shiitake mushroom log as a centerpiece? It’s bound to be a conversation piece! At the end of the night, your guests can each clip a piece to bring home. Another idea is to put small packages of chocolate-covered fruits and nuts in a nice wire basket. Or Jordan almonds can be separated into layers of color in a tall glass vase or wire container.
3. Decor
Why buy a ton of flowers to decorate for your spring bash? Save yourself some money by picking up 1 or 2 bunches of flowers. Lay a few on the table or float them in a glass vase. Try floating different types of mushrooms and lettuce in water. Or here’s another idea. Colorful feathers can be placed in a tall cylindrical vase and used as a riser on the buffet.

4. Napkin Rings
You probably have those inexpensive wooden napkin rings at the bottom of a drawer or in a box ready to sell at your next yard sale. Have you thought about getting a can of chalkboard spray paint at your local craft store and painting them black? You can then use white chalk to write the name of each guest…brilliant, I know!
Big Take Away – Look Before You Buy!
The best way to plan a party on a budget is for everything to do double duty. Edible centerpieces can always double as party favors. Before going out to buy any supplies, look around the house. You’ll more than likely be amazed at what you’ll find. You probably already have those drab wooden napkin rings that are going to be perfect with a fresh coat of chalkboard paint. I know you have glass vases and possibly even colorful feathers that you were going to use for a craft, but just never got around to doing it. Think outside the box. You will definitely come up with some super fabulous decor ideas!
