Top 5 Party Trends Of The Year!
We all want to know…what’s hot and what’s not? We look around us to Hollywood, fashion, TV and the internet to find out what’s trending. As a party planner, I’m obsessed with looking ahead to the next big trend and tweaking it as only The Party Goddess can to make it my own!
In a little “throwback Tuesday/Thursday something post”, I figured I’d share hot party trends in a segment clip I did for Talk of the Town Channel 5. Enjoy!

Top 5 Party Trends:
1. Color
A cool idea is to work the Pantone Color of the Year into your event. In this case, it’s Radiant Orchid. This color can be used for:
- Candy bar
- Invitations
- Luggage tag with a guest’s name on it as a place card (double duty!)

2. Live Music
Affordably infuse your personality into your event. Hire your dad or sibling who play in a garage band and have just been dying to get their “big” break. It can be a quick, rather than 4-hour, performance and you can even key up a series of bands.
3. Paper Products
Paper is totally back! We all know that there is a huge push toward being eco-friendly, but people are still really in love with paper. There are all kinds of cool finishes and treatments for amazing invitations.

4. Involvement Of Men
It used to be that women would plan all of the details of an event and men would just show up. Well, not anymore! Men are much more involved than they ever have been. There are fun ways to incorporate favorite things of men into an event.
- Big vases with golf tees as centerpieces or place platters on top of the vases to give your buffet some height
- Golf balls as part of an invitation or as party favors
- Fresh juices
5. Comfort
Regardless of whether you are planning a small or huge event, you can hand out throws or slippers to make your guests comfortable. A fun idea is to sit outside with that comfortable party favor and enjoy s’mores.
Big Take Away – Inspiration To Show Your Colors!
While many of us are interested in finding out what the hot party trends are, the important point here is to take these trends and make them your own! If Radiant Orchid, the Pantone Color of the Year, is definitely NOT your color, find inspiration in a color of the season or your favorite party dress and work your event around that color. Your personality will show through and it will make your event much more unique and meaningful!
