Cheers For Fears! Best Halloween Cocktails!

Chill out & thrill out with some creative Halloween cocktail concoctions!Cheers For Fears! Best Halloween Cocktails! | The Party Goddess!

Halloween is coming and if you’re a party pro, it’s time to start planning your drinks menu! Woo hoo! Or maybe that should be Whoooo! Or however you spell ghost sounds. When else can you go all out with funky, funny and even fiendish-looking drinks? You can’t exactly serve a brain cocktail at Thanksgiving, even if it does have the requisite fall colors. (I mean you could, but that’d be pretty brave. Or just weird.) So get your bar stocked and prepare to make some of the best Halloween cocktails you’ve had — and seen!

The best Halloween cocktails for a scary good party!

How to get started? This blog is a pretty good spot… so glad you’re here! We’re sharing some ghostly and ghastly creations that you can serve to surprise or scare your guests. Maybe even gross them out a little if that’s your thing. (See Saturday’s post.) If you’re really looking for some fun ick factor in the drinks department, you could try your hand at making eyeball skewers to garnish your drinks. You know, like olives in a martini, only eyeballs. As one does at Halloween. Funny how some perfectly lovely fruits that we often consider delicacies — think kiwis, raisins, lychees, maraschino cherries, blueberries — when combined in just the right way can look so… how shall I say it?… indelicate! Then if you add raspberry puree or a clear glaze — or a brain ice cube — for extra realism, well the results can be chillingly delightful.

I hope you enjoy checking out these recipes of the best Halloween cocktails and are inspired to throw a party! Maybe you can have a pre-party drinks-making party where you test them out and choose your faves. Put on your Halloween playlist and perfect your eyeball-making skills. Because as you know, practice makes perfect! Cheers everyone!

Where to find The Party Goddess! ideas galore?

If you’ve been one of my loyal blog followers, you know that we publish these image roundups weekly. We feature a particular event for a particular client so you can go deep on the particular theme. If you know what’s up, skip this part. New visitors, take a look below…

In case you missed it, here’s what we’re doing, mentioned in the first blog. (And if you already know what’s going on, skip to the first photo!) Every day we’re posting event photos & inspiration to my Instagram page to give you ideas for your own events. And, of course, to encourage you to hire yours truly, one of the top Hollywood event planners, for your next soirée! In terms of format, we’re trying to capitalize on the whole hashtag calendar world and take advantage of #WeddingWednesday (#WW) and #ThrowbackThursday (#TBT) by posting wedding photos and cool stuff we’ve done on Wednesdays and on Thursdays, harkening back to a past client’s event, be it a celebrity, or just one of us tastemakers.

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Monday:

Candy Corn Jello Shots: No candy looks so specifically Halloween quite like cute little candy corns. Nowadays, I prefer an adult version of them — like these jello shots. (I mean, as adult as a jello shot can be… how about a college-aged adult.) They’re so cute, but taste all grown up! (via A Beautiful Mess)

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Tuesday:

Vampire Cocktail: This cocktail is bloody delicious! It’s refreshing & tasty, yet weirdly creepy. Fill some syringes with chilled raspberry puree and let your guests use them as cocktail stirrers — all to great effect once they inject the contents into their drink! Yum? Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Wednesday:

Hocus Pocus Fizz: To create this colorful potion, mix pineapple juice and food coloring, add a few tropical-tasting touches, and finish with floating cranberries and an orange sugared rim. Serve it cocktail or mocktail style. You know which one I prefer! (via Kara’s Party Ideas)

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Thursday:

Black + Orange Rum Punch: Muddled blackberries, black sugar and two kinds of rum… what’s not to love about this black & orange punch? It’s the punch that packs a punch! #orangeoctober (via Brit + Co) #TBT

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Friday:

Infected Brain Cocktail: I’d love to meet the brainiac who thought up this cocktail! Brain ice cubes and tonic water are the key components here. Did I mention that tonic glows in the dark under a black light bulb? How fun is that? Just what every zombie party needs! (via Boulder Locavore) #TGIF

Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Saturday:

Bloody Brain Shooter: Talk about cheers for fears! This creepy-looking drink (yes, it’s a drink) owes its brain-like look to Baileys Irish Cream. The weird curdling effect when the Baileys hits the peach schnapps makes it look perfectly unappetizing. Bottoms up! (via Wonder How To)
