For instant happy, just add some yellow!
We’ve got yellow fever this week! But in a good way. It’s hard not to feel cheery when you’re surrounded by what’s probably the official color of smiley faces everywhere. So if you need a visual pick-me-up, try some yellow daisies or sunflowers. Or add lemons to a flower arrangement. And for a pick-me-up for your palate, add lemon slices to your water — or your cocktail… always my favorite! Summer is heating up, but keeping the color yellow around can help you feel a little bit cooler, almost as if it’s still spring!
Where to find The Party Goddess! ideas galore?
If you’ve been one of my loyal blog followers, you know that we publish these image roundups weekly. We feature a particular event for a particular client so you can go deep on the particular theme. If you know what’s up, skip this part. New visitors, take a look below…
In case you missed it, here’s what we’re doing, mentioned in the first blog. (And if you already know what’s going on, skip to the first photo!) Every day we’re posting event photos & inspiration to my Instagram page to give you ideas for your own events. And, of course, to encourage you to hire yours truly, one of the top Los Angeles event planners, for your next soirée! In terms of format, we’re trying to capitalize on the whole hashtag calendar world and take advantage of #WeddingWednesday (#WW) and #ThrowbackThursday (#TBT) by posting wedding photos and cool stuff we’ve done on Wednesdays and on Thursdays, harkening back to a past client’s event, be it a celebrity, or just one of us tastemakers.

I love, love, love this arrangement! It’s almost a tone on tone look and it’s so simple to put together. Mandarins, kumquats, daisies and an orchid snuck in the middle — what could be easier? It’s happiness in a vase! Happy #WeddingWednesday!
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Thursday:
Need to fill some airspace at your next event? Or add lots of color without spending lots of money? These paper lanterns are perfect! They’ll make a room feel less cavernous and add a festive feel whether you’re indoors or outside. Opt for different sizes and a few different colors for more visual interest. I love this large yellow & red one! #TBT
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Friday:
For an extra-refreshing refreshment, add some citrus slices to a water dispenser. Or float them in a big punch bowl. Or my fave… in a large batch of a specialty cocktail. Cheers! #TGIF
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Saturday:
Our theme this week is the color yellow… and there’s nothin’ mellow about it! For a really upscale, hoity toity look, may we suggest these rubber chickens? Nothin’ classes up a party and says fancy like some hanging poultry.
