Get Ideas From This Halloween TV Segment!
Feeling spooky? Halloween is my favorite holiday and I’ve got some great tips to share in a segment clip I did for KCBS Los Angeles. Stay tuned!
Here’s The Halloween TV Segment:
Here’s a summary of the tips from the clip. Take them and make them your own.
Halloween Tricks And Treats:
1. Scary Beverages
You can create fun spooky Halloween glasses. They’re plastic so you don’t have to worry about the kids breaking them. You can have a signature drink, like apple cider, and add rum later to spice it up for the adults. You then have one drink that is multi-purpose.
2. Dress Up Pumpkins
If you’re worried about the kids with knives, you can bedazzle your pumpkin with all different colored thumbtacks which is totally easy. Draw a pattern on the pumpkin and then have the kids follow it. This is a good alternative if you’re like me and haven’t had a chance to carve the pumpkin.
3. Floating Candles And Apples
Instead of bobbing for apples, use them as decor. Take an old galvanized bucket that you may have at home and paint it. You probably already have apples and candles around the house.
4. Dust Things Up
Take books literally on your bookshelf. Take the jackets off so they look a little older and put some spider webs on them. Set out an old clock – it doesn’t even have to work.
5. Get Kids Involved
Wrap a stuffed animal in gauze or toilet paper. A little Halloween fun!
Big Take Away – Use What You Already Have!
There are so many things that you probably have laying around the house. Before going out and spending any money look around. Use what you already have or get it at a thrift store.

Target has a couple sizes of inexpensive white candles in glass. Buy plenty, for all overI use a black marker to decorate them to them. Ghost eyes and mouth, mummy rags and eyes, cat face, vampire mouth and eyes, spider and/or web. Super simple designs and it washes off with a scrubby sponge and dish soap so you can reuse them. Tip – the tall candles should be set so they don’t get knocked over.
