You’re Not A Great Business Without The E-Myth

 The Almighty E-Myth

I do a lot of public speaking in my industry and to entrepreneurs around the country about a book/project I’m working on called “…But Are You Making Any Money?” So many times I get such similar questions and hear the same story. People are working so hard on their businesses with not a ton to show for it. Quit it. You don’t have to be doing that, it’s just not necessary – there really is an easier way.

YEARS ago when I was the classic case of a burned out entrepreneur having spent years being SOOO busy and working SOOOO hard without a fat bank balance to show for it, I turned to Michael Gerber and The E-Myth. It stands for “Entrepreneurial Myth” and the basic premise is that most businesses are started by “technicians” (you’re really good at baking pies) and not by business people with the skills to make their pie business profitably fly in the long run. Years later I have found myself turning to Michael Gerber and The E-Myth Revisited (on CD because I drive a lot) to get a little refresher course. Check it out for yourself and see the world of difference it will make.

  1. Love the book. Every entrepreneur needs a little refresher on how to do things better…make some more money…sharpen the angle…etc. Might I recommend a book called Boom Start, by Dr. Gary Rhoads. If you liked the E-Myth you will most definitely enjoy and, even love, this book. I absolutely loved it and am reading it again. Thanks again for your post.
