First of all, how is it possible almost September? I am totally blown away. As if it’s not hot enough here in So Cal (we’ve actually had kind of a mild summer), but we’ve got more fires going. This photo above was one that I took tonight right by my house. It shows the Angeles Crest fire that is just above La Canada, California. I cannot tell you how close it is and how smoky the air has gotten. Freaks me out!
So here’s what’s been going on over here. I have gotten behind on my blogs because I’ve been doing so much Tweeting and Facebooking. (If we’re not Facebook friends – Marley Majcher or Facebook fan friends – The Party Goddess or Twitter buddies – ThePartyGoddess – let’s hook up.) Anyway, that social networking has exhausted me so I’m back to blogging. So let’s try this again: here’s what’s going on over here…(no, I am not drunk typing.)
* I am so excited to report that I’m going to Trinidad/Tobago in September to speak at the Eventology conference. Cannot WAIT to get my sweet self into a British West Indies bikini while I help other planners learn PG fabulosity. Tough job I’ve got hugh – feel like going? Meet me there!!
* I got booked to go to Austin in January (I think the 21st) to teach my bootcamp on job costing: “…But Are You Making Any Money?” Live near Austin or just want to go? Email my team at info@thepartygoddess.com and they’ll give you the deets. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Texas girls!
* My manuscript for my book “…But Are You Making Any Money?” is due on November 1, but I’m telling myself it’s due October 1 so it actually gets done. Anyone who wants to come over and babysit me while I write, let me know because I need the vodka, rather company. (The book will come out in late Spring 2010 and can be available for pre-sale on Amazon as soon as we have a cover – so exciting!)
* Did a bunch of celeb parties this summer including Ali Landry’s daughter, Estela’s, 2nd birthday at the Pirate’s Booty Beach House and also a fun, fab soiree for Tisha Campbell’s baby shower (that one landed us in People!)
* My whole life it seems has also been wrapped up in my new venture HowToBeAPartyGoddess.com where I help event planners grow their businesses. This is one of the most satisfying projects I have EVER taken on because I’ve got these AMAZING, AMAZING, entrepreneurs that are leaping to the next level and it’s such an honor to be able to take a little, tiny piece of that journey with them. Tomorrow I have a laser coaching session with one of my girls Dumb Like A Fox coaching students, Andrea Lyons. Just reviewed her typed one sheet for me to review prior to the call so that there’s no “dead airtime” during our 30 minutes. Up after her is my little Frenchie student, Valerie Bihet. Girls, if I had 10% of the brains that you’ve got going on at this point in your careers, I’d be Donald Trump.
* Speaking of the Donald, had a great 2 day getaway in Vegas with some friends and colleagues (got some new fabulous drink ideas from Cindy over at Dress the Drink – holy edible white viola flowers! Can’t wait to see those floating in my birthday cocktails.)
* Just brought on a new guy to run our internet divisions that are growing by leaps and bounds (www.HowToBeAPartyGoddess.com and www.ButAreYouMakingAnyMoney.com.) Let’s see how the straight guy works out over at PG Worldwide. Should be a trip – I’ll keep you posted! 
* What else? The Kimchi/Cult Yoga is going well (did my 14 hour yoga retreat a couple of weekends ago and it nearly killed me.)
* I think that’s pretty much it. I forget how much I like blogging. Yes, I will post some photos of the kids soon – my oldest had his high school orientation yesterday. What?! All that means for me is that I need more botox because Lord, I am getting old.
* Oooh, almost forgot to say that I am now heading off to watch the Tivo’d version of Real Housewives of Atlanta. If there’s any other station you need on your tv besides Bravo, please let me know because they rock.
I can’t think anymore. At the end of all of this business stuff I’m going to have no friends because I owe so many people phone calls. Ladies, I swear I’m going to call you all and catch up this weekend. SWEARRRRRR!!!
Bye guys!!! Oooh, just remembered another thing I have to update you all on – the new addition to our family of 2 semi-feral cats and 2 rescued rabbits. It is a complete s*@t show over here for sure. Goodness help me.
