It’s common knowledge that women can be like cats when it comes to praising and supporting eachother. Once and awhile I like to buck the trend, so here goes. This is a mini tribute to a very smart woman whom I have recently come to know and who is just plain smart: Emily Bryson York.
Emily is a writer for the Los Angeles Business Journal and her work is always appealing. Recently I read a great story about this organic cookie maker with a company called Kookie Karma. In the January 22-28, 2007 issue she talks about a company with a niche on making handmade mattresses. Where does she come up with this stuff. Has anyone ever heard of a handmade mattress? In the same issue, she covers a woman who makes organic kids soaps. My poor child is stuck with Johnson and Johnson and these people are talking about something much cooler.
