Show notes from The Daily Buzz: Paint the Town

Greetings from Florida! Had the greatest time recording at The Daily Buzz studio where I shared Paint the Party tips! Would looove everyone to check The Daily Buzz for local show times. For those who can’t join us for the show, here are some tips!

TIPS:
* Wax On-Wax Off! Upbeat, energetic music makes the time go by and creates a fun atmosphere

* Colorful Drinks! Serve Signature Drinks that match the colors of the paint everyone is using. Give them names like “Builder Bob’s Iced Tea” for a brown room or “Painter Paula’s PAMA Pink Lemonade” for red…. Serve them in mason jars

* Let Them Eat Cake! The key to getting and keeping good volunteers is to feed them! You’ll need to have plenty of snacks available to keep them working. Serve snacks in empty paint cans and on paint trays. Just as you have the signature drinks match the paint colors, and have the snacks match too…like red licorice for red paint, fruits of appropriate colors, etc. Use a paint tarp as a tablecloth…. have colored Sharpie pens available for everyone to write a message during the party

* The Game Is On! Before you start on a room have the volunteers play tic-tac-toe on the wall (using the paint brushes of course!) The losers have to paint the trim!

* SWAG – Give each worker a paint can with his or her own brush, tape and paint cap (you can even personalize the cap – they’re really cheap!) Do the same for any children that tag along but fill their paint can with sidewalk chalk, a coloring book, etc to keep them entertained. Have their
paint can wrapped in white paper that they can decorate

Enjoy!
