I just finished doing the call for Ridin Dirty Radio Show and had a blast like always! If you guys haven’t heard of this radio station before it’s hosted by Jack Daniels and can be heard weekdays on KLAA AM 830 for so cal residents! but don’t worry you can also hear the show on www.ridindirtyradio.com
They stress the importance on partying and drinking responsibly. I shared my fun Holiday party tips and if you weren’t able to make the call here are the tips below! Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
TIPS:
* Create a signature drink. Instead of just serving beer and wine, create fabulous signature cocktails without the cost of supplying the “full” bar. Try this tasty recipe and get your guests oohing and ahhing with delight, the Bajan Holiday Punch – 2 oz Mount Gay Extra Old Rum (or Eclipse), 2 oz Cream of coconut, 1.5 oz Condensed milk, 1 tsp pure almond extract, Pinch of cinnamon for garnish whole nutmeg for garnish. Combine all liquid ingredients in an ice filled shaker, shake and strain into a highball. Sprinkle cinnamon over top of cocktail and grate a hint of nutmeg over the top too.
* Glassology. Colored, frosted or neon! Try some different glassware options to serve your drinks: mason jars, mint julep cups, tall, martinis, highball or double old fashioned glasses to encourage your guests to try new recipes you’ve created.
* Fun stuff floats. Surprise your guests with something sweet at the end of their sip like floating candy, candy fruit slices, grapes, or raisins. Also use twizzlers as a straw! Just snip off the ends and they can eat them after! Keeping with the holiday theme, try to incorporate traditional candy canes or peppermint to remind them of the cool but cozy feeling of winter.
* Unique Centerpieces! Come up with cool centerpieces that wow your friends! For example some cool homemade centerpieces like a martini glass filled with pinecones wrapped with branches, and a cool feather filled glass jar is colorful, fun and easy to make! Another unique idea is to use an edible mushroom log to display on the tables. Imagine clusters of hundreds of succulent, shellfish-like edible mushrooms growing on a beautiful piece of aged wood. This is the ultimate gift for that foodie on your list or someone who loves unique décor.
* Have A “Dessert Swap” – Tell everyone to go to the 99 Cent Store and buy a bread, brownie or cookie mix and make them and bring them. Have it play double duty as a contest/activity. Then, at the end of the evening everyone takes a few of everything home with them!
