My Quest for Physical Fitness

I am trying desperately to do all kinds of different workouts in order to prepare for my trip to Mexico in a couple of weeks. This photo depicts me whipping out my roller blades after YEARS of acquiring lots of dust. I am pretty sure that I didn’t have 2 out of my 3 children the last time I wore them. This was a sight to be seen.

I decided to go around the Rose Bowl which is below my house with my 14 year old as protection (from myself.) I guess that the roller blades are so old that my brake had calcified(?) meaning it doesn’t really stop anymore like it should when it’s still made of rubber. This caused me to have to make several emergency loop-de-loops in order to not crash (didn’t check the brakes before I left of course.) Finally I had to have my son “jog” in front of me when we approached any sort of road depression so that I could lean in to him. Fortunately I still have all of my teeth, however being cheered on by young and old as if I were some kind of Special Olympian out for my first practice was a little disheartening. Oh well, at least I burned a few calories (in stress if nothing else.) No one honked this time at least like they did when I was in my neon yellow slicker.
