Making Your Cut Flowers Last

With summer entertaining already here, I thought it would be good to have some easy tips to keep your cut flowers fresh!

* Cut stems at a 45 degree angle using sharp scissors, shears or knife (if
possible cut underwater).
* Remove leaves that will be below the water line.
* Put flowers in one part lemon-lime soda to three parts water or combine
two aspirins, a few drops of bleach and a dash of sugar (per quart of
water).
Now go ahead and enjoy those fresh, beautiful blooms!
