Halloween Tricks and Treats

If You Like Halloween, You Will Love This Halloween Book!

Halloween is my absolute FAVORITE holiday so of course I spend a lot of time on it. This year we have two hard core parties planned so I am knee deep in search of inspiration and just picked up a copy of Matthew Mead’s Halloween Tricks and Treats (Wiley). The book has a ton of fun ideas of how you can embellish stuff you’ve already got around like cinnamon sticks (add marzipan witch heads, etc) and store bought cookies. The book reminded me of a product I have long since forgotten, food markers, which you can use to draw spooky faces on the cookies (to make Icy Stares, Biscotti Vipers or Masked Scholars). LOVE the idea of making hot chocolate with white chocolate and then using orange food coloring to turn it that special Halloween hue. Now if you’re a real TPG client, you’ll find a way to get some booze in there as well!
