Fashionistas start your engines! The frenzy around Sex and the City 2 has taken hold worldwide and unless you’ve been living in an uninhabited Atol in the middle of the South Pacific where your IPAD doesn’t connect to the outside world, you have no doubt seen the advertising and slew of promotions for one of the most anticipated movies of the year.  Millions of women and men are counting the days until Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda strut their stuff across the big screen in one of entertainments biggest runway shows.  And a blockbuster opening is all but assured. When the tickets went on sale in early April, the first shows sold out across the country with in hours.

Now courtesy of Marley Majcher, aka, The Party Goddess! and Nicole Matthews of the Henley Company, you and your friends have the opportunity to celebrate Carrie Bradshaw style on May 28th at what’s being billed as the ultimate Sex and the City 2 party.  Majcher who is the CEO of The Party Goddess! a nationally known event planning company, is as excited as anyone to see the movie. Sitting in her office surrounded by rows of party paraphernalia and props from her last TV appearance, she was telling a client, “What could possibly sound better than sipping delicious cosmopolitans with the girls, rehashing all of the fabulous fashion highs and lows.”

Ticket-holders to the bash will be treated to a pink carpet arrival for a VIP pre-party at the historic, Shangri-La Hotel, a 1939 art deco jewel in Santa Monica that was recently refurbished to the tune of $30 million dollars, before moving on to a private screening of the film in a reserved theater just for them. But the night is far from over. The party keeps going, much like Carrie and friends, with a no cover/no line after party, back at the Shangri-La Hotel’s luxuriously appointed courtyard pool area which has been host to celebs such as Sharon Stone, Eva Longoria Parker, Madonna and President Clinton. And like any good party, goodie bags will be filled to the brim with fab swag, upon exiting.

Matthews, whose company, based in San Diego is a top event management and concierge firm, adds, “by providing a first class, high-profile experience, which celebrates friendship and fashion and as Marley said the illustrious cosmo, this event allows women to channel their inner Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.”
