An Open Letter to the Universe, The Secret #4

Dear Universe,

How’s everything going for you today? I think I’m going to start off on a different track this morning because, as you know, Kate Hudson has not called. So….I am going to tell you how many things I really appreciate (crucial part of The Secret, appreciating). I got home safely from Palm Desert yesterday after our really great party at Walt Disney’s old house (Palm Springs.) Worked with two of my favorite, favorite, favorite BFF clients (entire blog will be devoted to them and their Baked Weenie menu -stay tuned Laura; it’s coming.) Thanks for making sure that my car did not blow over in the 2,000 mph winds. (California is now experiencing simultaneous snow storms, wind, hail, rain and now apparently sun because it’s beautiful in Pasadena.) So anyway, thank you for the sun in Pasadena, the BFF clients, the safe drive, the fact that my 2 year old is still chatting to himself in his crib (and thus does not require me to start making pancakes just yet), the really good haircut I got yesterday (thank heavens, last one before baby but still need the eyebrow wax. Difficult without the assistance of Aleve.) Thank you for my friend Robyn Bomar (www.mixmingleglow.com) who launched her blog the other day (please sign up to receive it) and it is SO cool it hurts. Thank you for our entire family being almost over the flu. Universe, you are appreciated.

OK, so Kate Hudson has not called. Just to triple confirm, you did give her my cell phone number? I keep checking the messages, looking for missed calls, nothing. Where is she? (BTW Kate, if you’re reading and you are pregnant, turn over that secret girl because you have the flattest stomach I have ever seen.) Anyway, I am obviously going to have to pop in the movie The Secret, again, and see what I’m doing wrong because the divine Miss Kate is not on my radar screen yet. Oops, I am not supposed to focus on what I don’t want. Redo: The divine Miss Kate is on my radar and she is going to call ANY second. Swear, I am positive of this. Now if only my BFF client from Friday could perhaps deliver Kate to my cell phone, this would all be a lot easier. Laura, do you know Kate Hudson? Want to meet for coffee? It’s ok if the car blows over, I’ll get there somehow.
