Spooktacular Halloween hacks that anyone can do!
If you’re looking to add a little more oomph to your usual bag o’ Halloween tricks, then you’re going to like the suggestions we have this week! We’re talking Halloween hacks that pretty much anyone can do, even if you’re craftily-challenged. Our suggestions are easy, funny and perfect for Halloween. And the best part about them is you don’t need a long list of complicated tools and the skills of an artisan to pull them off. Rubber gloves, a freezer, a hair dryer, duct tape, tonic water… that’s as complicated as it gets. Oh, and you’ll also need Dracula fangs. But everyone always has lots of those lying around, don’t they?
Where to find The Party Goddess! ideas galore?
If you’ve been one of my loyal blog followers, you know that we publish these image roundups weekly. We feature a particular event for a particular client so you can go deep on the particular theme. If you know what’s up, skip this part. New visitors, take a look below…
In case you missed it, here’s what we’re doing, mentioned in the first blog. (And if you already know what’s going on, skip to the first photo!) Every day we’re posting event photos & inspiration to my Instagram page to give you ideas for your own events. And, of course, to encourage you to hire yours truly, one of the top event planning companies, for your next soirée! In terms of format, we’re trying to capitalize on the whole hashtag calendar world and take advantage of #WeddingWednesday (#WW) and #ThrowbackThursday (#TBT) by posting wedding photos and cool stuff we’ve done on Wednesdays and on Thursdays, harkening back to a past client’s event, be it a celebrity, or just one of us tastemakers.
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Monday:
Melted Crayon Pumpkin: Rainbow is the new black! Do you lean toward the unconventional? Does the barrage of orange & black at Halloween sometimes feel monotonous? If yes to either of these, try giving your pumpkins the Pollock treatment. Melt crayons with a hair dryer and you’ll have a cool splatter-paint art piece. (via Crafty Morning)
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Tuesday:
Ice Hand: Ice, ice, baby! I LOVE this Halloween hack! It’s about the easiest thing ever — hands down! Put water in a rubber glove and freeze. That’s pretty much it. Your guests will be creeped out by it all night long. Perfect, right? (via Babble)
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Wednesday:
Glow in the Dark Cupcakes: Did you see my post last week with a glow-in-the-dark cocktail? Well now you can make your cupcakes look just as ghostly using the same magic glow-producing ingredient: tonic water. Don’t forget to get a black light to show off this very cool effect! (via Instructables)
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Thursday:
(Gummy) Worm Ice Cubes: Waiter, there’s a worm in my drink. And this isn’t tequila! How’s this for easy? Gummy worms in ice cubes. It’s almost too easy, yet for some weird reason, it’s slightly creepy. Just what you want for your drinks on Halloween! (via Brit + Co) #TBT
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Friday:
Fang Napkin Holder: Dracula teeth napkin holder? Of course! This is brilliant and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it first! (via Food Network) #TGIF
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Saturday:
Duct Tape Pumpkin: Got duct tape? Then you can transform a pumpkin into any design you want. In this case, houndstooth, cuz nothing says Halloween like a nice black & white houndstooth! This Halloween hack works best if you use a fake pumpkin, otherwise… well you can probably guess why! (via Consumer Crafts)
