Tying the knot? How to marry vintage with modern!
When it comes to a wedding, whether a simple backyard ceremony and cocktail party, or the complete opposite — a formal affair with a lavish reception — or any variation in between, the guests are there to fête the bride and groom. And that means all eyes on the couple. And all eyes on every little detail of the day. No pressure! But that’s just kinda how it works. So achieving the look you want is important, but can also be tricky, especially if you’re trying to marry two different styles. I get it! Helping couples figure this out is what The Party Goddess! does. So what to do when she likes vintage romance and he wants contemporary? (Or if it’s reversed and he likes the vintage romance thing… what?… it could happen.) Or, if both bride and groom like both styles? Relax, it can work!
Vintage romance style gets an update!
When you hear vintage romance, you might have visions of dusty Victorian lace and antique store gloves & hankies that are more tired than they are vintage. So scratch those thoughts because that’s not what we’re talking about! We don’t do tired. But we do “do” stylish! This week we hope to inspire you with brides & grooms who perfected the blending of styles: vintage romance and modern. Their looks were captured with beautiful black & white photos that lend a timeless quality and make the couples look even more über stylish!
