After I’ve worked an event all day, my feet are tired! It’s tough enough to stand up all day, but do it super-cute fancy heels and my poor dogs are crying out for a foot massage!
Shoes That Look Good, Seldom Feel Good
A few years back, I wrote about a reflexology joint called Heart & Sole Reflexology, right here in my hometown of Pasadena. Since I’m always looking to expand my horizons, I wanted to try out a different type of massage therapy and found this kind of treatment to be just as soothing. The place is still going strong and the massage therapists there have worked out aches and pains on more than one occasion.
Feet Carry Us Everywhere, So Be Kind
It would do us good to spend more time with our feet up. (#likethatsevergonnahappen) Even better, just being barefoot in nature lets the earth’s energy in. Toes in the sand at the beach? The best! But since most of us are rushing from one place to the next (ding, ding!), and abusing our bodies with things like vodka and donuts (double ding, ding!), foot massage is very handy and can do more than just ease your tired feet!
There are a whole bunch of benefits to having your feet rubbed, especially when combined with reflexology. Improved circulation, stress reduction, lower blood pressure, and nausea relief in cancer patients are just some of the ways reflexology foot massage promotes wellness.
