Fun Super Bowl Facts!

Hello there everyone! Hope you all had a safe and fabulous holiday and New Years. As for me, I am starting off the year busy and excited as usual! As you all know, January is full of fighting football spirit! Football season gets everyone rowdy and it’s impossible to contain your enthusiasm. But hang tight, with a little extra attention to detail you can knock that tailgate out of the field! What used to be a few sandwiches and a couple of beers before the game, has transformed into a great All-American sports tradition. A group of friends can drive to any outdoor setting, park their cars, pull down the tailgates, get out the grills and prepare a feast! Don’t forget Wholly Guacamole and a few bags of fun and colorful torilla chips to score points with your friends! * The average number of people at a Super Bowl party is 17.?

* 8 million pounds of guacamole is consumed annually on Super Bowl Sunday. My personal favorite is Wholly Guacamole. It’s all-natural and super tasty! Check out the link to the right for more info!

* The Green Bay Packers were the first team to win the first two Super Bowls; the years were 1967 and 1968.?

* Over 700,000 footballs are produced annually for official NFL use and 72 of them are used for the Super Bowl.?

 * Tailgating dates back to the very first college football game between Rutgers and Princeton in 1869, when fans traveled to the game by carriage, grilling sausages and burgers at the “tail end” of the horse.?

* The biggest regular tailgate party is for the Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville.  Attendees call it the World’s Largest Cocktail Party; fans begin arriving on Wednesday for a Saturday game and sometimes keep raging until Sunday afternoon!?

* 79% of tailgaters are men who spend over $500 a season on food and supplies.?

* 46% of tailgaters do so 6-10 times a season.?

* 59% of tailgaters use a combination of grills, stoves, and smokers to cook their pre-game food.?

* No NFL team has ever played the Super Bowl on its own home field.
