This is AWFUL!
We have to help save this Hollywood Institution and HUGE resource for the Event Industry!
20th Century Props is one of the largest prop houses in the country, if not the world. The bad economy plus many other factors in our business has forced the owner, Harvey Schwartz, to put the business on the auction blocks, piece by piece.
Harvey is a dear friend of mine. I’ve used his amazing props for everything from my wedding to events in Palm Desert, San Diego and LA. No one does this better than Harvey. This is bad for Hollywood and our industry. Harvey would rather sell the business but has yet to find a buyer.
Please pass this on to everyone you know in the business. We CAN’T lose this fabulous resource!
Thanks for your support guys! Let’s go viral with this one!
We love you, Harvey! Hang in there!
Update
20th Century Props has reopened in Van Nuys!
Will pass on the word. Thanks!
Wow!! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!! So many deep pockets in Hollywood — someone MUST care about film enough to buy this collection!! And maybe create a few jobs to run it.
The bad news is that they did close the Hollywood location, but the good news is that a few years later they reopened in Van Nuys! I’ve posted the update. Thanks for reading our blog!
