OK, not too happy when I realize that the whole world knows about something that I don’t. Today I met two friends/business associates in Burbank for a lunch meeting. Burbank has some okay food places but this place was freakin’ darling. They made all of their own pastries, cookies, etc. (including a giant ged velvet cake – I was available not only for the cupcake version but my own carrot cake number as well.) They had great and INTERESTING salads. In California we have tons of salads because the majority of our zip codes consist of anorexic people. These people eat salad (when they eat.) It’s really great though when you can have some fun, DIFFERENT combos. Mine today had mixed baby greens, candied pecans, gorgonzola cheese, persimmons (I think?) and a really great dressing that I forgot to identify.
The cute Burbank restaurant was called Krust. That’s a good name, no? Tel: (818) 843-8143. I couldn’t find their web address. My fault probably, I got lazy in my search. Anyway, when I exclaimed to my friends that “Who know this place existed?” they promptly asked me if I wasn’t familiar with Yelp. Help? I know I need help, that’s why I’m asking you for it. “No, Yelp, as in www.yelp.com .” Evidently the whole world Yelps. They have restaurants by region, reviews on food and just about everything else in the world for tons of different cities across the U.S. Sooooo, if you need some yelp finding something (sorry, couldn’t resist), then check out www.Yelp.com and get it fast.
