Hi! In case you missed the show notes from the WGN St. Patrick’s Day Special I’m doing today, here they are:
Fun St. Patrick’s Day tips and tricks include:
*Welcome your guests! Wrap that old grapevine wreath from Christmas in moss or clovers for a fun spring addition.
*Hold a limerick contest – after people have a few drinks, award a prize to the winner who can come up with the best limerick (Hand out some basic limerick guidelines and examples to guests when they arrive so they can get prepared and gear up during the party for their performance).
*The grass is always greener – on your side of the table! Get sheets of wheat grass or rolls of sod and create a vibrant green runner down your dining room table or buffets.
*For some added height and interest, spraypaint terra cotta pots gold and fill them with shamrock (or clover!) plants or even gold wrapped candy (for the pot of gold of course!)
*Create a fun green specialty cocktail. Have it be vodka or tequila based and add a splash of green juice and of course, a sugared green or silver rim) or even get complicated and add some Midori or Absynthe. Pre-make them in pitchers for faster service and garnish with fun green candy.
*Got kids? Get them involved too by decorating their own leprechaun hats. You provide the hats and the fun pom poms and goodies and they can go to town!
