Walter Cronkite Dies and Los Angeles Heats Up

(First things first. What does this photo have to do with the weather in L.A. or Walter Cronkite? Nothing actually. But I just sent a Tweet [follow me @ThePartyGoddess] from Mijares and on my way out found this delicious little number that I must have asap. Not sure if it’s a car, a golf cart or what, but the back says it’s a Hummer 3. I am IN LOVE. Now back to our regularly scheduled blog…)

I am so bummed that amazing Walter Cronkite died but I am nonetheless relieved that he didn’t pass last week or the poor thing wouldn’t have gotten any press coverage at all. People Mag must’ve gotten a ton of hate mail because they put out an entire special tribute issue to Farrah Fawcett which was quite necessary considering she was totally shafted after Michael Jackson died. It’s been a ROUGH couple of weeks in La La Land, and oh yeah, there’s the weather.

You see when we have NOTHING to talk about in Los Angeles, we talk about the weather. It’s important to note that we really have no weather to speak of.  We just have warm and various shades of warm. Kind of like painting a picture entirely with shades of orange. That’s about all of the contrast we’ve got. But when a major celebrity doesn’t die or get pulled over for a DUI or Lindsay Lohan remains on the d.l. we talk about the weather. Today we heard about the “blistering heat.” “Some temperatures reaching the low ’90’s.” Heads up people, this is California. The low ’90’s are not exactly devastating considering we have “dry heat.” Fortunately now we can all focus on Walter as opposed to the “oppressive weather.” Honest to goodness, not that oppressive and reallllly, not that dramatic. Certainly not the breaking news that they are blanketing the screens with.

Tonight I am loading up on hoodia and antioxidants in preparation for Tisha Campbell’s party tomorrow. Inside Edition is shooting it and People Mag will be doing interviews. Translation, I will have LOTS of photos and tons of dish.  It’s been quite exciting working with Tisha’s girl, Jayneoni and Jennifer from Hostess with the Mostess. The theme is Cirque du Bebe and you’re going to freak when you see the deets.

Alright everyone, nighty nighty from The Party Goddess.

Signing off for some zzz’s. xo

P.S. If any of you like these blogs so much or the photos that we’ll post of Tisha’s party, make sure you’re signed up for my free party planning advice at Howtobeapartygoddess.com. Really, good night.
