There are few things better in life than friends who get it. I am really lucky to have one of those friends. It’s about cool gift ideas; they are everywhere and they don’t have to cost a fortune. You just have to spend a little extra time thinking about the recipient and what will make his/her heart sing. Case in point. I turned 40 and so naturally, one of my BFFs had a treat for me. She showed up with this amazing pink and brown box that weighed a TON! I love heavy! Inside were 40 (as in the BIG 4-0) bars of dark chocolate, each with a different saying on them: “Yes, it’s ok to say ‘NO’ sometimes” and: “Next!” Some of the sayings were created by yours truly and some by the lovely Merri Jill. Partially to make fun of me, partially because they were just smart things to say! However, the majority were wonderful, well thought-out quotes to inspire, encourage and just in general, show affection. Now THAT’S what friends are for!
