When you’re starting your own business or just branching off, your start up expenses can get really out of hand very quickly. There are certain basic things you need though to get your new idea off the ground – a phone number is always nice and email of course, but you probably already knew that! Second only to those things is a good website. I can also make a pitch that you should have a fantastic blog as well, but I’ll save that for another time.
Therein lies the catch 22. How do you get your business off the ground, gain a web presence and not go broke before you even have your first client? Check out Hutdogs www.hutdogs.com ; it’s really quite ingenius. For a low monthly fee you create your own website, but a COOL website. Not some random, horrible, nightmarish thing the neighbor boy strung together for you. Something fun (or actually professional) that truly represents the personality of your company. If you’re a photographer you can upload images so potential clients can see your portfolio. You can have all of your info contained on the Hutdogs site complete with different colors, patterns and fonts, all preset up for you. It’s sort of like going shopping for a new wardrobe but in a store where you know everything already fits. Imagine the glorious feeling.
