No matter what our religious background, most of us celebrate Christmas…even if it’s just a little bit…each year.
There are so many exciting things to do! Here are my tips for getting together and having some family fun during the holiday countdown season.
1) Cheer up an elderly neighbor with a stocking full of teas and gourmet cookies. Who doesn’t like receiving gifts? Better yet when the gift is delivered by a caring family that took the time to fill a stocking with love.
2) Make an Advent Calendar on your wall with 24 CUTE socks. Here’s how: Hang a piece of ribbon or rope on your wall – you can make any shape you like, just make sure it’s long enough to hold all 24 socks. Then, add the number stickers to your socks and attach them to the ribbon with clothespins. Place a special trinket or piece of candy inside each sock and let your kids pick a present every morning before Christmas.
3) Dress Up Your Plain White Napkins…with holiday stamps. Instead of buying expensive and generic holiday napkins, sit down with the family and make your own. All you need: a couple of stacks of plain white napkins, a few pads of red and green ink, and several holiday themed rubber stamps. Super fun and totally original!
Holidays are all about family. Let’s spend some quality time together and get into the real meaning of Christmas.
