We are in the thick of it, wedding season. When planning a wedding, it could be argued, what proponent comes first? The proposal, the dress, or the color scheme? Well, if you want a sash on that eggshell colored dress, we vote for the color scheme. Hands down, it unequivocally communicates to the guests the tone of the wedding, starting with the invitation and ending with the party favors. We have complied some of our favorite current wedding color trends for your inspiration.
* Bold vibrant hues replacing the pastels and lilacs of seasons past. If its your big day, should it not be shouted from the rooftops? Deep fuchsia with turquoise accents perfectly screams I am having the time of my life, as opposed to demure lilac and baby blue.
* One color, multiple shades. As opposed to picking three colors that accent and compliment each other, many brides are honing in on their favorite color, with variations of that same color acting as accents. This creates a pleasing color palate for the eye, compared to opposing colors competing for attention while repeatedly placed side by side throughout the ceremony and reception.
* Grey, grey and more grey. Kick out the cream and add in the grey as your neutral accent color to keep your color scheme fresh, modern, and surprising. The right tone of grey will go with any set of colors, and is the cool and sophisticated alternative to cream.
