Okay, it’s officially St. Patrick’s Day and we’re featuring a Boozy Shamrock Shake because it’s green (of course!) But, honestly, I could talk about these things EVERY. SINGLE. DAY…Because they’re THAT good! Wait, let me rephrase that… I could DRINK these EVERY. SINGLE. DAY…Because they’re that good. Like mind-bogglingly so.
Hey, I know… Creme de Menthe is one of those granny liqueurs that you wouldn’t normally think of buying, but trust me, you’ll be glad you did! This shamrock shake is a bazillion times better than the one you can get in the drive-thru, and not just because it has booze in it! The combination of flavors works beautifully with ice cream and you can even add a touch of chocolate (hint, hint!) and make it even more fab! Check out the full recipe from Tablespoon or use the one below. Slainte!
How To Make A Boozy Shamrock Shake
1 quart vanilla ice cream
¾ cup Creme de Menthe liqueur
¼ cup Irish Cream liqueur (like Bailey’s)
Whipped cream
Garnish with sprinkles, cocoa powder, or chocolate cookie crumbles
Blend ice cream and liqueurs in a blender, pour frothy deliciousness into a glass, top with whipped cream and garnish, and slurp with reckless abandon! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
