There’s no need to be boring under any circumstances. When we are trying to get inspiration for an event, I look for a “jumping off point.” Something that I can use as inspiration for whatever it is (mood, ambiance, etc.) that I’m trying to create. Sometimes inspiration comes in the form of a movie, a fabulous ad in a magazine, a store window that just strikes a cord (Anthropologie is great for this by the way.) Today I got really inspired by a fork.
This little number can be rented and could not be cooler. What better way to scream “I paid attention to the details! I am cool! Unstoppable! The life of the party! than taking something basic and making a statement? Find your jumping off point and run with it. Then dig in.
