While I was working out the other morning, I got quite the text from a good friend. This text included the SomeECards.com article, “7 Slang Terms About Romance (or Lack Thereof) You Should Know Before Going On A Date”
First thought was… Where was this yesterday before I went on a date?!
I started reading it and holy sh**. I hope you all can relate to it too because let me tell you, that list was spot on. Unfortunately for me and fortunately for your entertainment, I have experienced all of these, and oh yes, I’ve even added my own slang terms.
Here is the quick summary list of terms you should know (print it, burn it, hang it on your wall, I don’t care but you should definitely read this solid gold dating advice and watch the 1st video below because you’re in for a good time).
Ghosting: Ignoring people
Benching: When you’re not into somebody but keep them on the bench just in case…
Breadcrumbing: Leading someone on
Cushioning: The human backup in case your current relationship fails
Slow Fade: Gradual ghosting
Catch & Release: When you “catch” someone and then let them go after the chase (and other things..) is/are over
Zombie-ing: Coming back from the dead after weeks, months, years

So….check out the videos to get my REAL full take. If you don’t understand WTH the above terms mean, you will after my little lessons. And because we didn’t want to completely overwhelm you, we’ve split my rant into 3 parts (everything will marinade and digest easier this way, ha!). Here’s Part 1:
Check back tomorrow for part 2!!!
