Los Angeles Event Planner Celebrates with Red, White & Blue!
Enjoy our event photos and inspiration weekly roundup all super patriotic, just in time for the last holiday of the summer. If you’ve been one of my loyal blog followers, you know that we publish these image roundups every week. We feature a particular event for a particular client so you can go deep on the particular theme. If you know what’s up, skip this part, new visitors, hola and the gig is below…
In case you missed it, here’s what we’re doing, mentioned in the first blog (and if you already know what’s going on, skip to the first photo!): Every afternoon we’re posting event photos & inspiration to my Instagram page to give you ideas for your own events, and of course, encourage you to hire yours truly, fabulous Los Angeles event planner for your next soiree! In terms of format, we’re trying to capitalize on the whole hashtag calendar world and take advantage of #WeddingWednesday (#WW) and #ThrowbackThursday (#TBT) by posting wedding photos and cool stuff we’ve done on Wednesdays and on Thursdays, harkening back to a past client’s event, be it a celebrity, or just one of us tastemakers.
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Monday:
I love galvanized containers for so many reasons. For this shoot we used long ones full of oh so patriotic, Coca-Cola and bottled water. If you want to doll up your agua, customize the labels on them. While you’re printing, make some “belly bands” for your Twizzlers or knot some red, white and blue ribbon like we did. Straws were served out of bandanas. (Also one of my go to tricks for easy napkins.)
Psycho obsessed with bottles these days. Many of you might know that, especially if you’ve been, ahem, dining with me and I make some of my favorite restaurateurs send me home with the empties. I like them here as centerpieces because they are a little more unexpected than your usual 4th of July or Labor Day plastic junk.
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Tuesday:
For the table “runner”, we stitched together recycled magazines cut into various star shapes that were mostly red, white and blue. While they wouldn’t make it over and over for events, it looked super cool under the flatware.
I have a thing about napkin rings and table runners. You might have figured that out. We used cookie cutters here to keep everything together. Inexpensive, light and re-usable!
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Wednesday:
Shocker, sugar. Please tell me what’s cuter than bananas dipped in blue chocolate topped with sprinkles and cherries.
Even if you cheat and get some pre-bought cookies, you can dress them up with ridiculous quality ice cream and, well, more sprinkles. #Natch.
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Thursday:
#ThrowbackThursday (#TBT). #TBT to Twizzlers. Love me those stretchy ropes. Tie with ribbon or belly bands.
I loved these star shaped ice cube trays frozen with berries. Problem was I forgot they were silicone and after the shoot fried them in the oven while trying to melt plastic. #Lame. Oh well, they worked when I needed them!
Favorite Event Photos and Inspiration – Friday:
If you want to surprise your guests, serve them the REAL stuff, the amazing Mexican Coke with the “real” sugar. Not exactly what I need to be ingesting, but sweet Jesus, it’s ripe.
Lots of details here like “cones” stuffed with fruit, apple crumbles baked right in their jars/now bowls and everything served atop a galvanized high boy. Not possible to tell you how much I love raw materials.
