Recently I have been cleaning obsessed. I will not bore you for all of the reasons for this because it would shut down your computer. Bottom line though, clean is important. I started watching (I use that term loosely with all of these shows because I am typing, on the phone, etc during most of them so take some of this stuff with a grain of salt) How Clean Is Your House? on BBC America. These two chicks, see show description below, go into these FILLLLLLLLLLTHY houses in England and clean them up. Swear, I have NEVER seen anything so unbelievable. There are layers of cobwebs, ovens that haven’t been cleaned in 8 years, the works. The hosts do this thing every show where they take lab cultures of all of the gook and then tell them about all of the diseases you can get (they show the petri dishes – shocking) by being exposed to this stuff.
I’m sorry but a lot of these people are pathetic. I mean I’m no super child but somehow the oven has gotten cleaned between today and the year 2000. A recent show had this mother and son on who live on this ranch (or whatever the English equivalent is) and the young gentleman, who is BLIND is the one responsible for the vacuuming. You can imagine how much typing I can do about this but come on, who the FRICK thinks a blind guy can be in charge of something like that. No wonder you can die from all of the mold and crud living in that house. I just need to log off, this world is ridiculous. No emails from the Handicapable Empowerment League please, remember, I’m still weak. (BTW, you get really great eco-friendly cleaning tips from these people. Brilliant.)
About the Show:
Dynamic duo, Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie are
back! They’re still snooping around some of the most horrifyingly
filthy homes imaginable, exposing the deepest and dirtiest corners.
Then when they’ve identified all the hidden horrors, we’ll meet the owners to find out how the filth has got so out of hand.
