This is maybe the most ridiculous product (seemingly) that I am going to blog about, but I swear it really works. My skin has always been a big challenge for me for a lot of reasons. Either I was chronically broken out or now I have really, really dry skin in the winter so I am always in search of something that will make a difference – enter Bag Balm. I think that my pharmacist actually recommended it originally. He’s one of those neighborhood guys that still delivers to your house and actually knows every single product on his shelf. So when I was moaning about dry skin, he suggested I try Bag Balm at night.
Bag Balm was originally formulated in 1899 in Vermont I think, to put on cow udders (for “bruised, sore or injured teats”. Check the facts on their website www.bagbalm.com .) Anyway, it works for your dry limbs too. Just lather it on at bedtime (it’s greasy so wear gloves on your hands or socks on your feet and I promise, by morning you will be SHOCKED at how soft your skin is. LATHER it on. Plus the stuff is so cheap. You can find it at drugstores and of course horse supply stores. I don’t think they have those on Robertson Boulevard though.
