Spring Cleaning Can Be Festive!

Its that time of the year again! Spring cleaning doesn’t need to be a dreaded weekend full of dirt and grime. Why not grab some friends and turn this task into a party? Let The Party Goddess! show you how to have some good, clean fun!

TIPS:

* Have a clothing exchange! Have each attendee clean out their closet prior to the party and bring over old clothing they’d like to give away. Exchange clothing items, have a fashion show with your new finds, and donate the leftovers!

* Give squeaky-clean parting gifts! Pour distilled white vinegar into small glass bottles. Add ribbon and a note on the many ways to use vinegar around the house as a cleaning product and then give them to your guests as parting treats!

*Have a cleaning product exchange! Have each guest bring their favorite cleaning product under $10. Draw numbers from a hat and take turns picking a product. The donor gets to tell everyone why they like that particular item so much.

*Get the kids involved… buy cheap loose feathers, rubber bands and wooden sticks and have the kids create their own fun colored feather dusters! (They can go after the annoying spots like louver blinds.)

*Show off your goods! Fill a glass vase with 10-12 sponges of the same color and place some flowers on top for a cool looking centerpiece. If you really want to get crafty, fill cylinders with different products and place a tray on top to act as a buffet riser.

* Don’t forget the booze! In a martini shaker, mix equal parts lemon juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, vodka, a dash of mango syrup and ice cubes and go to town. Enjoy a cool and fresh drink while you clean!
