Events with a Purpose
I can’t say that sometimes it’s not a challenge, but it’s really not too difficult to make sure that an event is going to be FUN! But what about if you have more in mind for you next event than just showing everyone a good time? Here are 4 easy tips to use when planning an event with a purpose! 1. Give yourself plenty of time to plan. Bigger events can take up to a year to plan and smaller ones will at least need a few months. If you’re working with other people and organizations to make the event happen, add a little more time through out the planning to collaborate and compare to-do lists. 2. Pick your purpose. I am 100% convinced that my blog readers are the most fun and fabulous people in the entire universe! Your witty commentary and hilarious emails never cease to amuse me or send me through the roof with laughter. The Bad Hair Day Update
I think it’s important to note that after my week of feeling like The Donald or some kind of wretched prom queen with her hair left over from the ’80s, I have rectified the situation. In fact, when I recounted the situation to my hairdresser he became unleashed. His eyes were as big as mine. Anyway, now that we’re back to blogging 24/7 around here, would love to know what you think of the new do. Yes, that means that we’re also back to checking and updating our comment’s section so you really will get to see your notes. Thanks to all of my Twitter and Facebook friends who were clearly as enraged as I was. Love my peeps!! xo

What Exactly Is A Bad Hair Day?
Really I am forced to share this because it is so strange I think I’m still dumbstruck. I am going to disguise a few of the details so as not to insult my hosts but this entire thing is 100% true. Last weekend I was in San Francisco on a panel for an amazing event and was surrounded by ridiculously smart, cool entrepreneurs, business owners and visionaries from all over the world, literally. After a great day of learning and networking I was really lucky to be invited to a special dinner at a very hot, hip restaurant with my husband and maybe 25 other people. After a couple of cocktails and really amazing conversation a woman approaches me whom I’ve never met. In fact, never seen before this night. […]
