St. Patrick’s Day Facts

Everybody’s Irish on St. Paddy’s Day, a great reason to party it up with family and good friends with a surprise get together! No one’s got any expectations, the booze will be flowing and who can’t be in a great mood around a smiling leprechaun. Let The Party Goddess! show you where to find your pot of gold!

TIPS:

* Break the ice, hold a limerick contest. You may have friends joining you from all different parts of town. To help get everyone acquainted and feeling more comfortable, award a prize to the team who can come up with the best limerick (Hand out some basic limerick guidelines and examples to guests when they arrive so they can get prepared and gear up during the party for their ‘performance’)

* Create a fun green specialty cocktail. Use vodka or tequila and add a splash of some Midori or Absynthe (and of course a sugared green or silver rim). Pre-make them in pitchers for faster service and garnish with fun green candy.* Edible centerpieces. Fill a black pot with popcorn (gold) and place in the middle of each table. It serves as a fun centerpiece and people can nible as they socialize throughout the night!

* Dip to dessert! St. Paddy’s is a day to wear green and eat green! Add more fun to the event by serving fun, simple green dishes! A great way to start off the event is to serve green chips and dip like, Wholly Guacamole – It’s fresh, natural and tastes great! And to top off the night, serve fun-shaped green rice crispy treats!

* The grass is always greener. On your side of the table. Get sheets of wheat grass or rolls of sod and create a vibrant green runner down your dining table or buffet.

* The pot of GOLD! Spray mini terracotta pots gold, write each guest’s name on them and fill with shamrock (or clover!) plants or gold chocolate coins (for the pot of gold of course!). It doubles as a place card and a great take home gift!
