Valentine’s Day definitely got the best of it, all of that chocolate kicked our sweet tooth into high gear as we dangerously drooled over the Food Network’s new show, Kid in a Candy Store.
Kid in a Candy Store follows Adam Gertler as he visits the top sweet spots across the U.S., with the wackiest sugary confections, across the U.S. So far the show is only slated for a six part series, but we are crossing or fingers it gets picked up for more episodes. Especially when some of those episodes include deep fried red velvet cupcakes, or sweet beet ice cream.
In the last episode, Adam started in New York and showed us artisans that handcraft toothbrushes, hats and ice creams, all out of hard candy. Next stop, Las Vegas and the Max Brenner Restaurant, where chocolate is served at every meal. And finally, in our own backyard, Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank, CA, where you can order a picnic basket of varied fare, such as corn on the cob to hamburgers—all made from cupcakes.
