Not a fan of the sand and seagulls? Head to the lake for summer fun! Whether you are heading to Arrowhead, Big Bear or perhaps Lake Michigan, these tips are a sure way to a great weekend away. Let The Party Goddess! show you how to throw a super fabulous lake party that your clients will be talking about into Fall!

TIPS:

* Gone Fishing! Set the mood of your party before your guests even arrive. Send out a “Gone Fishing” invitation. A mason jar filled with gummy worms and labeled with all your fishing details: who, where and when!

* Mother Nature! Keep it rustic and neutral with a pop of color. Add twine and tree stump risers for your buffet. Let your food add the pop of color! An easy DIY project for any event, create cute labels for food and beverages. This will add a personal and creative touch.

* Stick It! Keep the bugs away from your food. Cover all of your platters with nets and glass domes. Serve up watermelon on popsicle sticks and for your sweet tooth serve up roasted marshmallows on a stick. Be one with nature and serve all food on twigs and sticks. This will allow for all food to be portable and easy to munch.

* Mojito sans Mosquito! Refresh yourself with cool Mojito. Not a fan of extra protein? Serve up your drinks in a mason jar topped with an upside down cupcake liner to keep the buggards away. Don’t forget a hole puncher to make way for your straw.

* Lawn Twister! Grab red, blue, yellow and green spray paint. Don’t forget the circle stencil. Create your own game of twister on the dirt or grass near the lake. Forget the mat at home and just grab the spinner.

* Happy Trails! Let your little fishers create their own trail mix to take home. Set up a trail mix bar with fun mixings such as: m&m’s, shaved coconut, yogurt covered raisins and pretzels.
